I specialize in weddings, family portraits, events and sports, and have been a professional photographer for 13 years. My corporate clients include (or have included) the Durham Bulls, UNC Chapel Hill and USA Baseball. I've been published in ESPN the Magazine, Our State Magazine, Baseball America, Nature's Best, and in numerous books and newspapers. I've also been published in (or on) hundreds of UNC, USA Baseball and Durham Bulls' materials, including baseball cards, game programs and posters.

My passion for photography began in 1996 when my parents took me to my first Baltimore Orioles game. Being an avid Cal Ripken Jr. fan, I wanted to document our time at the game. My dad let me borrow his old Canon A-1 camera and I shot my first few rolls of film. I was hooked.

Soon after, I was photographing everything I could, from my yellow lab in the backyard to lighthouses on the North Carolina coast. One thing led to another and in college I started shooting for the UNC athletic department and the Durham Bulls. Folks started asking me to shoot their weddings and their kids and, well, here I am, several years and hundreds of thousands of photos later. Virtually all of my business comes from word of mouth, so thank you to everyone who has helped spread the word over the years! I am also indebted to all the photographers who have helped me over the last decade through their advice and encouragement.
