If you haven't checked out www.TripAdvisor.com to help plan your honeymoon or next
big vacation, you are missing out on a great resource. They offer lots of updated user
reviews, rankings and pictures. Just type the name of the resort you are considering
in the search box and the result will come up under "Location Results." Regarding the
user reviews, of course keep in mind that even the best resorts have some bad reviews,
but taking them in their totality, you'll probably find them useful.

If you don't look at anything else, look at the 2008 Travelers' Choice Awards. It's a concise
list of the highest rated resorts in the world, divided into every conceivable category.

I personally recommend Excellence Resorts, which is a very small chain with locations
in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. They don't spend anything on advertising,
but by word-of-mouth have a thriving business. Their resort in Puerto Morelos, Mexico,
is rated the 2nd most romantic, and 4th best all-inclusive in the world. Their non-existent
advertising budget helps keep their prices down.
